Saturday, January 28th Lazlo Gardony

Lazlo Gardony is a great jazz piano player and composer.  He and his band were in concert at the Jame's Library in Norwell MA, so Don and I got tickets to go see him.  There were only 100 people in the crowd, a sold out crowd.  It was like being in the living room with the band!  It was a wonderful concert.

Thursday, January 26th Banff Film Festival

Paula and I saw lots of exciting, strange and interesting films at the Banff Mountain Film Festival, including this one about a drummer who always wanted to be a Flying Drummer.  Here he is suspended by bungee cords high in the mountains, with his drum set.  The rest of his band was up there too, swinging in the wind.
