Monday, October 30th The Morning After....

a mighty windy night.  The wind gusted up to 60 mph, snapping off tree tops and bringing down power lines.  The power company says "no power till Friday".  Thank goodness for the generator.

Doing little damage to the sugar house

Why we have no power...still down at 5 in the afternoon on Monday

Sunday, October 29th Vine Work

On my rainy run this morning, the bright colors of the grapes and sumac caught my attention so I stopped for a quick photo.  The contrasting colors are so pleasing.  It wasn't until I looked closely at the photo (lower right corner) that I noticed how tight a stranglehold the grapes had on the sumac to climb it's way up to sunlight.

Saturday, October 28th Dave and the Red Devil Toolchest

The big red tool chest looks innocent and useful.....

but when Dave tried to move it in the garage of his new house, it stuck out it's foot and tripped Dave up.  Dave's head met the concrete floor of the garage with a crack.  So Dale picked him up and took him to the emergency room.
Poor guy got six stitches, a black eye and a big headache.
