Sunday, June 25th A Tick Infested Beautiful Walk Along the Bouquet River

Ivy, Don and I took a 4 mile round trip walk along one of the CATS trails that goes through woods and fields and along the Bouquet River. Turns out the fields were full of ticks and we spent the afternoon pulling 40 ticks off of Ivy.

Encounters with a baby snapping turtle

The reflections were as pretty as the river

Not sure what kind of bird house this is, but it's awfully small

There must have been a nice farm here at one point
First round of tick removal.  The rest came off after a bath.
